Nashville Warbler (Leiothlypis ruficapilla)
- HABITAT - Nashville Warblers breed in parts of the northern and western United States and southern Canada, and migrates to winter in southern California and Texas, Mexico. It would rarely visit Nashville. They tend to prefer shrubby, second-growth habitats.
- DIET - Nashville Warblers eat insects including the eggs and larvae. In the fall during migration, we have seen the eating the abundant fruits and berries.
- FACTS - Nashville Warbler is another one of Alexander Wilson's poorly named warbler, named based on the area he collected the species, probably during the bird's migration. I prefer the french name, translated as Grey Cheeked Warbler .
