Northern Parulas live in Eastern North America from Southern Canada to Florida. However, they are absent in most of New England.
- DIET - Northern Parulas forage by gleaning leaves and branch tips for insects and spiders. In the winter they sometimes eat berries, seeds, or nectar.
- FACTS - Northern Parula is a small wood warbler that was originally named Finch Creeper. Parula is latin for "Coal Tit". Setophaga is greek for "moth eating". Therefore, the scientific name means "American Moth-eater".
