Brewster's Warbler (Vermivora leucobronchialis)
- The Brewster's Warbler (Dendroica castanea) is a hybrid of the Golden-winged Warbler and the Blue-winged Warbler.
- FACTS - Blue-winged Warblers have expanded northward as landscapes changed with logging and development. This northward expansion increased contact and hybridization with Golden-winged Warblers. This hybridization and competition contributes to Golden-winged population declines. In an area where we seen Golden-winged Warblers, a Blue-winged Warbler seems to have taken over the territory.
- DIET -As with Golden-winged Warbler and the Blue-winged Warbler Brewster's Warblers eat insects and spiders.
