House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)
- HABITAT - House Sparrows live wherever people live: in towns, cities and urban areas. The House Sparrow is native to Europe and Asia. It has introductions to many regions, including parts of Australia, Africa, and the Americas, make it the most widely distributed wild bird.
- DIET - House Sparrow mostly feeds on the seeds of grains and weeds, but it is opportunistic and adaptable, and eats whatever foods are available. It is often found at outdoor patios where they take scraps from peoplw dining out.
- FACTS - The House Sparrow prefers to nest in manmade structures such as crack buildings, street light,and bird housess instead of in natural nest sites such astree cavities.
