Fox Sparrow (Passerella iliaca)
- HABITAT - Fosx Sparrows like to live in thickets and edges of coniferous, mixed, or second-growth forests. In winter, they tend to favour weedy pastures and brushy roadsides.
- DIET - Fox Sparrows forage on leaf litter and bare ground, usually under dense cover. During the breeding season they eat mainly insects. They also eat seeds, fruits and buds.
- Facts - Fox Sparrows use their feet to scratch the ground, often using the double feet approach to find food.
