White Wagtail (Motacilla alba)
- HABITAT - White Wagtails have a wide distribution range, and they can be found in Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa. They can be found in a variety of habitats, including open fields, meadows, marshes, riverbanks, and urban areas. They are often associated with water and can be found near ponds, streams, and other water bodies. There has been a few very rare sightings of White Wagtails in North America.
- DIET - White Wagtails feed on a variety of small invertebrates, such as insects and their larvae.
- FACTS - White Wagtails are known for their active feeding behaviour. They walk or hop on the ground, frequently wagging their tails up and down.
