Cliff Swallow (Petrochelidon pyrrhonota)
- HABITAT - Cliff Swallows can be seen in farmland, wetlands, prairies, residential areas, road cuts and over open water. Cliff swallow's breeding range includes a large areas across Canada and the United States of America, excluding some Southern and Northern areas.
- DIET - Cliff Swallows feed almost exclusively on flying insects.
- FACTS - Cliff swallows are extremely social songbirds that can be found in large nesting colonies. Cliff Swallows gather mud pellets to build their nests, adhering pellets to a cliff or other vertical surface, such as the external facade of a building. Commonly used structures include houses, barns, culverts and bridges.
