Redwing (Turdus iliacus)
- HABITAT - The Redwing breeds in the northern parts of Europe and Asia, particularly in the boreal and subarctic regions. During the breeding season, it can be found in damp, boggy areas with birch or coniferous woodlands. It is a vagrant and has been seen on the east and west coastal areas of North America.
- DIET - Like most thrushes, Redwings eat a wide range of insects and earthworms all year, supplemented by berries in autumn and winter.
- FACTS -Outside of the breeding season, they often form flocks.
