Golden-crowned Kinglet (Regulus satrapa)
- HABITAT - Golden-crowned Kinglets breed in dense coniferous forest. In migration and winter may be found in deciduous trees, but tends to seek out conifers as their favourite habitat. They nesti in northern forest, wintering throughout much of the continent.
- DIET -Kinglets feed on a wide variety of tiny insects and spiders as well as many eggs of insects. They may eat tree sap and rarely feeds on fruit.
- FACTS - Tiny birds that seem to be overflowing with energy, Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets forage frantically through lower branches of shrubs and trees.
