- HABITAT - The Rock Ptarmigan breeds across Arctic and Subarctic Eurasia and North America (including Greenland) on rocky mountainsides and tundra.
- DIET - Food sources can vary depending on their habitat. They mainly eat buds, seeds, catkins, berries, leaves and flowers. The chicks will also eat insects and snails.
