Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis)
- HABITAT - The Ring-billed Gull lives on lakes and rivers in south central Canada to the east coast and north USA, They may live year round on the Great Lakes. They winter southern states and Mexico. Ring-billed gulls nest in colonies where they build their nests on the ground near freshwater on sandbars, rocky beaches, bare rock, concrete, or soil.
- DIET - The Ring-billed Gull is a carnivore as well as a scavenger. In the wild, it will eat i insects, seeds, grain, fish. They also gets food from man-made sources such as garbage and handouts from humans.
- FACTS - The Ring-billed Gull are infamous for their habit of hanging out around picnic sites, beaches and fast food restaurants scavenging for food.
