Laughing Gull (Larus atricilla)
- HABITAT - The Laughing Gull is a coastal bird that summers along the Atlantic coast of North America, the Caribbean, and northern South America and occasionally on the Great Lakes. Northernmost populations migrate farther south in winter. Laughing Gulls breed in coastal marshes and ponds in colonies.
- DIET - The Laughing Gull is a carnivore as well as a scavenger. In the wild, it will eat insects, fish, shellfish, and crabs. They also gets food from man-made sources such as garbage and handouts from humans.
- FACTS - Laughing Gulls are noisy and aggressive, who often steal the prey of other birds. They are named for its call, which sounds like, "Ha ha ha".
