Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus)
- HABITAT - Great Black-backed Gull is a North Atlantic native that breeds from the Arctic to the Carolinas, the Great Lakes, Britain, France, and the Baltic Sea. Some migrate in winter to the Gulf Coast, the Caribbean, and the Iberian Peninsula.
- DIET - Great Black-backed Gulls prey on almost anything smaller than itself, including, small ducks, petrels, fish, and shellfish, as well as the eggs and young of other gulls.
