Snow Goose (Anser caerulescens)
- HABITAT - Snow Geese breed north of the timberline in Greenland, Canada, Alaska, and the northeastern tip of Siberia, and spend winters in warm parts of North America from southwestern British Columbia through parts of the United States to Mexico.
- DIET - They primarily feed on grasses, sedges, and other plant material. During migration, they may also feed on leftover crops in agricultural fields.
- FACTS –Snow Geese are highly migratory birds. They breed in the Arctic tundra during the summer and migrate south for the winter. The migration can cover thousands of miles.
