Habitat: Fields and open areas, roadsides
Native/Non-native: Non-native to North America. Native to Europe, Asia and North Africa.
The seed pods of Black Medick turn black when they're ready to drop. Seeds are the only means of propagating.
Considered a frustrating weed by many, this small wildflower is an opportunist and will grow in any open area in lawns and gardens.
